Our Purpose

We are the Evangelical Fellowship Chapel dedicated to ministering to every person, young to elderly, and to the whole person, from salvation (“Evangelical”) to relationship (“Fellowship”). (I Jn. 1:1-3) We are committed to reaching people for Christ -- to trust in Him for salvation, pattern their lives after Him, and develop a relationship with Him fulfilling His plans and purposes for their lives. (Mt. 28:19-20) We are committed to preaching and teaching the Word of God,emphasizing Christian character, dependence on Christ, and developing and maintaining a servant´s heart. We will assist each believer in discovering and using their gifts and talents for the glory of God and furtherance of His kingdom. We are dedicated to equipping people to transform them from needing ministry to ministering to others.(II Tim. 3:16-17, Mk. 10:45) We encourage diversity in our unity, seeing ourselves as one family of believers with different gifts, talents, and abilities but unified in our commitment to the realization of God´s purpose for this local body. We will promote sacrificial and unselfish love and care for each other, helping each other become the best we can be for Christ, even if there is a personal cost to each of us. (I Cor. 12:12-27, I Jn. 3:16-18) We will provide opportunities for corporate worship, prayer, instruction, fellowship, and service; remembering our oneness with the body of Christ worldwide. We will emphasize intercessory prayer and spiritual warfare to ensure victorious living in Christ while on this earth, regardless of the circumstances we face. (Heb. 10:24-25, Eph. 4:1-6, 6:10-18) We appreciate the value of every individual, while also doing all we can to strengthen the family unit. We also recognize our great responsibility in developing the youth to reach their full potential for Christ and His kingdom, being the future of the Church. (Mal. 4:6, Mt. 19:13-14, Eph. 4:11-16)
